⚫︎作品コンセプト

「本質の在処」をテーマにした本展用の作品で は 、日 本 の ア イ ヌ 文 化・仏 教・生 命 の 神 秘 で あ る 細 胞 を モ チ ーフ に 、実 態 の な い も の( 虚 )と 実 体 の あ る も の( 実 )の 間 に 本 質 が あ る こ と を 描 い た 。肉 と も 皮 と も 言 え な い 被 膜 の 部 分 に 本 質 の 光 が 宿 っ て お り 、ま た そ の 被 膜 に よ っ て 世 界 は 繋がっている。下書きはせず、見えたスピリット を そ の ま ま 紙 の 上 に 転 写 し た 。工 芸 品 の 金 沢 金 箔 は 感 触 が と て も 柔 ら か く 、そ の 上 に 描 く 黒 は 気持ちのいいものだった。

⚫︎Concept / Techniques

For the works themed 'The Essence of Being' in this exhibition, I have depicted the essence residing between the intangible (void) and the tangible (reality), using motifs of Ainu culture, Buddhism, and the mystery of life - the cell. The essence shines in the membranous part, neither flesh nor skin, and this membrane connects the world. Without preliminary sketches, I transfer the spirits I see directly onto the paper. The Kanazawa gold leaf, a craft material, is very soft to the touch, and drawing black on it felt satisfying.
